Jonathan Deutsch
CEO and Founder of Mesotis Jets
An aviation industry professional with more than 10 years of experience in various segments of the aviation sector. Jonathan initially started by selling insurance for JSSI in Europe, North Africa and the ME until 2008 — insuring a portfolio of more than 2 Billion USD in Asset value.
Jonathan later built the first Pre-Owned aircraft sales department within a major Austrian aviation holding company that manages approximately a Billion USD in aircraft value for Austrian banks. From 2008 to 2011 Jonathan also developed a new subsidiary of the company in Africa, placing another 50 Million USD in aircraft assets via Purchase Leases and Operating Leases.
In 2011 Jonathan founded Mesotis Jets and later secured an exclusive contract to represent JSSI for the entire African continent.

Marcel Pepe Ascui
Global Operations Advisor
A multi-industrial relations and policy specialist, Marcel is the company’s global operations authority, managing public relations as well as back-office performance. As part of his upbringing, the aviation sector was a steadfast companion and definitive of Marcel’s future career choices. Having spent his formative professional years as part of Vienna Airport’s documentation and aviation safety corps, his industrial nous is of intricate quality.
Instrumental in leading him to join an international working environment, his skills match the dexterity and vitality that business aviation requires. A polyglot by passion and with a sound understanding of Mesotis Jets’ footprint and potential, he joined the company in 2024.

Maxim Akbaev
Aircraft Sales Manager
Maxim is an aviation professional with over 7 years of experience in business aviation, specializing in aircraft sales, aircraft management, and sales engineering. Driven by a lifelong passion for the aviation industry, he brings a strong combination of commercial expertise, technical understanding, and client-focused thinking.
Maxim is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, where he earned his degree in Aviation Business Administration in 2018. During his studies, he served as President of the Business Aviation Student Association, a role that allowed him to build early industry connections, develop leadership skills, and gain hands-on exposure to business aviation. This foundation enabled him to enter the industry at a young age and achieve early professional success.
Throughout his career, Maxim has worked at leading organizations, including Jet Aviation, Honda Aircraft Company, and Dassault Falcon Jet. This diverse experience allows him to deliver practical, market-driven solutions that are highly valued by aircraft owners, clients, brokers, partners, and flight crews.
Maxim joined Mesotis in 2026 as Aircraft Sales Manager.

Alexander Morass
Market Analyst
Since joining Mesotis Jets in early 2020, Alexander Morass has developed a multifaceted profile across business and commercial aviation. He oversees market analysis at Mesotis Jets, with deep insight into the aircraft sales market. In 2025, he assumed responsibility for the company’s branding and marketing initiatives, playing a central role in shaping Mesotis’ visual identity and overall communication strategy.
Beyond business aviation, Alexander has deep expertise in the commercial aviation sector. His academic research includes a thesis on the state of U.S. commercial aviation, with a particular focus on the performance of budget airlines. His ability to operate seamlessly across both worlds underscores his versatility and comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry.
A native speaker of both French and German, with a strong affinity for the francophone world, Alexander divides his time primarily between Paris, Brussels, and Vienna.

Walter Durauer
Director Mesotis Jets Long Beach
Walter has 25 years of aviation experience. He started as a commercial pilot for passenger airlines, cargo and business aviation companies. He has multiple type-ratings including B737 / CE-500 / Falcon10 / Lear-Jet / N265 Sabreliner and Helicopter 206B.
In 1995 Walter became an aviation consultant and was involved in aircraft sales, acquisition, aircraft detailing and refurbishment. He joined Mesotis Jets in 2011.
